| Dean Nimmer established his career in the fine arts in 1970. Starting out as an installation artist with shows at the Museum of Fine Arts and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, he gradually moved to the arenas of abstract painting, drawing and printmaking by the mid 1980s. In the spirit of his installation works, Dean exhibited a series of 1000 drawings that were displayed together in a 150 foot compendium at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in 1995. |
